For the 2011 Kentucky Derby® the Barnstable Brown Gala commissioned Kentucky Woods® to make a 23k gold cake for their Derby Eve Gala.

This special artisan made Kentucky Woods® cake featured real edible 23k gold, handmade by 4 artisans over 3 days. Valued at over $10,000, the center piece cake was served at the 2011 Barnstable Brown Gala on Derby Eve.

We used a special blend of bourbon with the feature Bourbon to be Parker's Heritage Collection ® Anniversary Bourbon valued at over $200 per bottle. Parker's Heritage was named the “American Whiskey of the Year"
